Digital Language Lab
The Prime Minister’s Central School in the Army Area, Pune, has a well-equipped language laboratory with 30 computers, along with other multimedia materials. The laboratory is very useful, and students are regularly using it to enhance their speaking and listening skills in English through computer-based instruction and multimedia content. The lab is supporting both instructors and students as a blended learning method. The lab’s software enhances functional English and grammar. It also offers a feature that allows students to listen to the model’s pronunciation, repeat it, record it, listen to their own performance, compare it with the model, and self-assess. Students are very interested in learning in the language laboratory and are enjoying the learning experience.
